FAQ's about Glass & Mirror

Tolerances for cutting:  We stick within the strict guidless which is + or - 1/16" on 3/16" and 1/4" glass.  What does that mean for you the buyer?  It is simple, it means that you understand that it could be cut 1/32" of an inch up to 1/16" bigger or smaller.  Normally it is 1/32" which is hardly noticable unless you are installing panels.

Installation of Panels to the wall:  Anytime that you plan to install mirror to a wall we suggest that you do it either on thin plywood, lauen or to a clean cured painted drywall.  We recommend that you buy a quality name brand mirror mastic for installation.  We also recommend that you snap chalklines, then painting over the chalklines with a black paint for any small gaps between mirror panels.  Our suggestion is to never put glass to glass on a wall installation but insted follow the painting over the chalkline leaving a small gap between the panels for expansion and contraction and settling of the house.
